Lauri Lee’s Chili – Texas Approved!
Lauri Lee's Chili is hearty and delicious with a bold flavor and just a hint of heat from the crushed red peppers. This includes plenty of aromatic herbs and spices that are very well balanced, with just a small amount of sea salt to enhance the flavor without overpowering it. Our Chili Seasoning Mix is Texas-approved so YES, you can make this with NO BEANS if that is what you prefer!
Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Beef may substitute ground pork, turkey or chicken
- 1 15oz can of no salt added tomato sauce
- 1 15oz can no salt added petite diced tomatoes
- 8 oz Pacific Brand low sodium chicken broth can use other low sodium brand
- 2-3 15oz cans no salt added pinto beans can stretch to 4 or 5 cans easily or you can omit all together.
- ½ cup Lauri Lee's Ultra Low Sodium Chili Seasoning Mix 2.2oz
Instructions
- Brown 1 lb ground beef (pork, turkey or chicken) in a pan over medium-high heat. Drain fat.
- Add 15oz can no sal added tomato sauce, 15oz can no salt added petite diced tomatoes, 8oz Pacific Foods Brand Low Sodium Chicken Broth, and 2-3 15oz cans of pinto beans.
- Sir in 1/2 Cup of Lauri Lee's Low Sodium Chili Seasoning Mix (2.2 oz). Bring to a boil stirring often.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, uncovered, stirring often for at least 30 minutes.
- Optional: Top with some shredded cheddar cheese and Sour Cream (or Lauri Lee's Big Guns Chili Dip mixed in Sour Cream) and Enjoy!
