This Garlic & Herb marinated grilled salmon filet recipe is a very flavorful dish submitted by Dave and Jennifer H. These are made by marinating salmon in a mixture of olive oil and Lauri Lee's Ultra Low Soidum Garlic & Herb Seasoning Blend, then grilling it to perfection. The marinade infuses the salmon with delicious savory flavors and the grilling process creates a slightly charred exterior while keeping the inside tender and juicy. The result is a mouthwatering dish that is both healthy and delicious, perfect for any seafood lover.
Equipment
- 1 BBQ Grill
Ingredients
- ¼ – ½ cup Olive oil
- 4 4-6 oz salmon filets
- 1 tad sea salt optional
- black pepper to taste – optional
- 1 lemon cut into wedges
Instructions
- Place Olive oil, Lauri Lee's Garlic & Herb Seasoning Blend, Salt (optional) and Pepper (optional) in a bowl. Whisk to combine. Reserve 1-2 tbsp of marinade for basting.note: can substitute Lauri Lee's Ultra Low Sodium Adobo Seasoning Blend for a completely different flavor profile!
- Add marinade and salmon to a resealable freezer bag and seal tightly. Shake gently to coat the salmon with the marinade.
- Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to 6 hours.
- GRILL: Preheat grill to medium high heat. Remove salmon filets from marinade and place on grill and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side or until the salmon is opaque throughout. OVEN: If you prefer the oven method, preheat oven to 425℉, spray a sheet pan with cooking spray or spray olive oil. Place salmon filets on the sheet pan and bake for 15 minutes until salmon is cooked through. NOTE: When you remove the filets from the marinade, you may want to just scrape any excess herbs off. Herbs when singed can turn bitter. You will get the herbs back at the end when you brush the marinade on your filets.
- Brush the reserve marinade over the salmon filets. Add a squeeze of lemon and serve!
